The article management is a central pillar in the OktoPOS system. Articles are created only once and are subsequently available in all modules, from the cash register to material management.

Thanks to the integrated structure of OktoPOS, the redundant creation of articles in different systems becomes superfluous.

The article data record contains the following parameters:

  • Article number
  • Material number
  • Goods group
  • Material group
  • Distribution channel (inhouse, take away, delivery, etc.)
  • Assigned kitchen station
  • Unit table
  • Prices (depending on branch and distribution channel)
  • Suppliers / purchasing prices
  • Bar code
  • Recipe
  • Cooking instructions
  • Side orders
  • Way of preparation (rare, medium, well done, etc.)
  • pecial needs (gluten free, vegetarian, etc.) – for kiosk systems and webshop
  • Allergens (for kiosk systems and webshop)
  • Cross selling (for kiosk systems and webshop)
  • Nutrition facts (for cash register receipt, kiosk systems and webshop)
  • Financial accounting accounts

The recipe is stored directly in the article data record. This enables the creation of components (half finished goods) that are made from raw material and are used for finished products.

Goods for resale only have to be entered once into the OktoPOS system, even if they also serve as raw material. Thus, a 0,25 liter Coke bottle can be re-sold as well as be used for mixing a different drink.

OktoPOS offers a customer loyalty card on which bonus points can be selected. The points can be redeemed against articles or services. You decide how many points are collected per sale. The needed amount of points for rewards are defined in the article data record. Customers’ bonus point accounts are managed in the OktoPOS Manager. Customers identify themselves at the POS using the card or just by name.
