OktoKiosk – The Order Terminal / E-Menuiconrabatte


OktoKiosk is the electronic ordering system. Depending on the concept, OktoKiosk can be used in different situations and with different hardware.

As a service terminal, as a customer kiosk or as an electronic menu card (E-Book). Orders are delivered to the kitchen stations and to the cash register.

The product offerings are managed online with the OktoPOS Manager.

For customer identification and saving of the orders, the OktoKiosk can be be used with our RFID guest card system.

Technology

The OktoKiosk module is a Java software that runs locally on the e-book. The e-books are connected to a local server over WiFi connections. The server is supplying content to the e-menus. The local e-menu server gets its data from the webbased OktoPOS Manager.

OktoPOS combines the advantages of the internet with the reliability and performance of a local application.

As a pioneer, OktoPOS has developed and optimized the e-menu technology since 2009. Younger systems mostly take a short cut and use virtual servers for their e-menu approaches. This however decreases performance of the e-menu, reduces color and graphic quality and leads to a constantly high network load.

OktoKiosk was originally realized for the restaurant chain LaBaracca with more than 300 order terminals per location. This is enabled by specific WiFi architectures that can handle a high number of clients simultaneously.

The design, user interface and navigation of your e-menu is made by our designers in close coordination with the client. On request we are involving a team of renown interaction designers.

The hardware is selected according to your requirements and budget. In case custom made hardware is needed, our partners for display design will help.
