The OktoPOS ERP system is built on a central database of the web-based OktoPOS Manager. This offers numerous advantages:

The cash register OktoPOS Cash is booking over an internet connection (e.g. DSL) directly on the webserver. This avoids maintenance and backup of dedicated databases in the shop and in the office. All data is stored directly on the server of the OktoPOS Manager. If the internet connection is down, data is saved locally until the connection is back.
If the cash register has a physical defect, you can continue booking on other standard hardware (e.g. Notebook). For data management and reports only a web-browser with internet connection is needed. No matter when and where in the world. All data is available in real-time.
Hardware
The OktoPOS systems run on a broad range of standard hardware. You have the choice. If you already possess suited standard hardware, you can continue using it.Internet
OktoPOS needs a DSL connection for data transfer. The modules can be run offline for a long period and be connected from time to time to the internet to transfer the data.
